Bear Consulting Services is a sole-practitioner consultancy operated by Mircea Rogojan-Rush, based in Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom. References to “we”, “our” and “us” mean Bear Consulting Services. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site and in the course of providing consultancy services.

This website. We run no analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party scripts. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for operational and security purposes only.

Direct contact. When you email or call us, we hold your contact details and the content of the communication for as long as is necessary to respond and to meet business and legal records-retention obligations.

Engagements. If we work together, we hold the business contact information and engagement records necessary to deliver the service and meet our professional obligations.

We process personal information under the following lawful bases in the UK GDPR: legitimate interest (responding to enquiries, maintaining the site, providing requested services); contract (delivering services under a formal engagement); and legal obligation (records retention, tax, professional standards).

Enquiry correspondence is held for up to 24 months after last contact, unless an engagement results, in which case it forms part of the engagement record. Engagement records are held for the duration of the engagement and for at least six years after it ends, in line with normal UK business and tax retention requirements. Server logs are retained by the hosting provider in line with their own policy, typically around 30 days.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing. Information may be shared where necessary to deliver an engagement (for example, with the client’s internal teams) or where required by law.

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. Visitor IP addresses may be processed outside the UK as part of its content-delivery infrastructure, under appropriate transfer safeguards.

Under the UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection in respect of your personal information. To exercise any of these, contact mircea@bearconsultingservices.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe your personal information has been handled improperly.
